All about me!

My name is Tamara Rice and I am currently eighteen years old. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Contrary to most people who have ever lived in the north, I love snow and winter clothes. I love layering sweaters, jackets, and scarves. I currently have lived in Naples, Florida for four years. I love any form of expression, including: tattoos, art, and music. I ride horses whenever I'm not eating or sleeping and I have been that way since I was four years old. I spend at least three hours a day around horses and if I don't, I go through horsey-withdrawls. I have a beautiful horse named Heidi. She is an Appaloosa, which were bred by the Nez Perce indians. We compete at all levels of horseback riding. She is currently ranked fifth best pony in the nation for our style of riding and has qualified for nationals in New York four years running. I can play three instruments: violin, guitar, and piano. I also enjoy singing. Bjork, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, and Portishead being some of my favorites. I am a current BS of Biology at FGCU and am looking forward to a life of working with horses!

  3. Your tattoo is awesome! I remember you said you were Israelian or something, sorry if I'm wrong about that, but is that where that symbol is from?

  4. Thanks! My mom is Israeli. The tattoo is from Jewish culture. It is called a Hamsa or translated to "Hand of God" and all the things in it, symbolize something, such as the fish symbolize good luck and the branches are part of the tree of life. The eye is the all seeing eye and repels bad people. The three symbols at the bottom are one of God's 72 names in Hebrew, repelling bad energy. All in all, it's one big protection piece.

  5. I love your tattoo! My sister and I wanted to get a Hand of God tattoo with things inside of it that symbolize good luck like yours. I think your horse is so pretty, even though I'm scared of horses because they're so big.

  7. I don't think I have ever met anyone who loves Horses as much as you! But I guess that's a good thing. Maybe you can teach me how to ride one day.
